2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz

After three years of waiting, the 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz has finally entered the US market. This unique electric bus is based on the iconic Type 2 microbus of the 1950s and 60s. Unlike its predecessor, this bus is fully decked out with advanced technology, a modern powertrain, and interior comforts that would be wildly unknown to the people of yesteryear.

Introducing the Retro-Inspired 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz

Explore the World in Comfort

Inside the ID.Buzz, a cavernous and configurable interior awaits. Three rows of seating fit up to seven passengers, although the standard 2nd-row bench seat can be replaced with captain’s chairs to seat six. More than 160 cu.ft. of passenger space provides ample room for all your groupies to stretch out and relax as you tour around the world (or the neighborhood). You can maximize use of that space with the tables that fold out of the backrests of the front seats.

An available glass roof with smart dimming lets generous light into the cabin and provides an excellent star-gazing platform at night. The highest Pro S Plus trim adds additional comforts to your ride, such as leatherette upholstery, heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats, and standard ambient lighting.

Road-Tripping Reliability

The ID.Buzz is available in both real-wheel drive and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. All models run on Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive platform which, in the base RWD model, can produce 282 horsepower. With the dual-motor AWD setup, horsepower is raised to 335 ponies and the bus can reach 60 mph in just 6 seconds.

Road-tripping lovers will be excited to hear that both drivetrain variations contain excellent fuel economy, with RWD models reaching 234 miles of range per charge, and AWD variants clocking in at 231 miles.

Ode to the Past

The ID.Buzz’s exterior styling is largely reminiscent of its vintage predecessor. The legendary VW bus style can be seen in the ID.Buzz’s classic upright front end, large, illuminated VW logo, and available two-tone paint. Unlike the Type 2 microbus, many exterior colors are available, such as Cabana Blue Metallic or Yellow Metallic.

Technology for the Modern World

We’re happy to report that the ID.Buzz’s technology remains squarely rooted in the modern world. VW’s infotainment system is hosted on a 12.9-inch center touchscreen that comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, several USB-C ports, and wireless charging. An available Wi-Fi hotpot brings connectivity to you, no matter where you end up, while Plus Nav EV makes travelling easier with continuously updated routes and information.

Experience a blast from the past, with a solid dose of modern conveniences and technology, with the Volkswagen ID.Buzz. This exciting electric bus is ideal for lengthy road trippers, large families, and weekend warriors alike.
