3 Favorite Local Theaters Just Down the Road in Jacksonville, FL

1. Theatre Jacksonville

A classic theater, if not the classic theater of the Jacksonville theater scene, Theatre Jacksonville has been providing world-class volunteer community theater to the community for over a century. As soon as you walk into the theater building at 2032 San Marco Boulevard, you'll quickly feel as if you've been transported back to an intimate 1920s-era showcase of stagecraft.

Performances here are incredibly affordable for everyone, as they run primarily off donations. The lineup of shows consists of a mix of classic and modern performances of all styles, as well as a showcase of local music artists, comedy, and more.

2. Daily's Place

With the incredible year-round weather that we enjoy down here in Florida, it's no surprise that this outdoor theater with a picturesque sunset backdrop has become one of Jacksonville's premier live music venues. You can drive down to Daily's Place at 1 Daily's Place (right by TIAA bank field) to catch top-tier touring rock bands, rappers, and theatrical products in the most scenic location in Florida.

Tickets can get pricey depending on how well-known the artist is, but you can snag tickets for some shows for as little as $30.

3. Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts

Housed in a multi-stage theatrical complex in downtown Jacksonville at 300 Water Street, the Jacksonville Center for the Performing arts is Jacksonville's premier venue for dance, orchestra, opera, and artistic theater productions. One of the most well-known tenants of this theater is the Jacksonville Symphony, but of course, this venue is host to much more.

Theater lovers will definitely be spoiled by the selection of performances here; you'll find something being performed almost every day at one of the complex's three stages. Ticket prices are usually between $25 and $40 with numerous discount options available.

When you come out of the theater after soaking in an incredible show or concert, you'll most certainly want to keep enjoying the sounds from the show on your drive home. You'll need a new car with a state-of-the-art speaker system like the Beats 8-speaker system offered in new Volkswagens. So drive by Tom Bush Volkswagen and pick up a new premium car like the Volkswagen Taos to enjoy the show!
