Learn More About the Volkswagen ID.4 - Coming Soon to Tom Bush Volkswagen
The ID.4 will be one of Volkswagen's new lineup of all-electric cars. VW developed the Pure Electric Concept to design cars that offer the best performance and efficiency. The manufacturer seeks to set new standards with the concept to make cars more efficient while pushing the boundaries of what was previously possible.
The ID.R was the first of the all-electric cars the automaker released. There are so many other cars in the range, most that are still concept cars. The 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 will be the first of its kind, and it comes to offer handling, longer range, and more power for an electric car in Jacksonville.
What's Inside the Volkswagen ID.4?
VW showed a sneak peek into the new ID.4, and it is not any different from the upcoming VW ID.3. The cabin sports a simple sweeping dashboard, a digital display, and a large touchscreen infotainment system.
It also comes with a panoramic roof mood lighting with 30 colors. You can store up to 19.18 cubic feet of cargo on the cargo space of the car, which is more cargo space than the Tiguan and the Golf. The car will appear on two trims the ID.4 1st and the ID.4 1st Max.
The two trims offer all-electric and pneumatic seat adjustment. Inside, the car features faux leather upholstery blended with a material made from recycled plastics. This comes in an effort to make the car more eco-friendly for Orange Park users.
Exterior of the ID.4
Renderings of the ID.4 are already available, and the compact SUV looks sleek from outside. It sports LED headlights that stretch from the corners to the VW logo at the center. It doesn't have a grille, seeing that it is all-electric and doesn't need as much cooling as its gas counterparts. It also features a lower bumper that features air intakes and a sporty splitter.
At the back, the car features LED lights similar to what the ID.3 offers. It also has a smaller rear window that shows a sleek side profile. It offers a 0.28 drag coefficient designed to help maximize efficiency.
At the top are roof rails that complete the SUV look of the car. It also features a large alloy wheel with black plastic trim that makes it look rugged to drive off-road in the Jacksonville Beach area. VW plans to launch the car as a standard SUV with more space, or a coupe-SUV with a sleeker slope.
Performance
The car will run on a single-motor that powers the front wheels. An all-wheel drivetrain might be available in the future, but the front-wheel-drive system will be the first to roll out. VW might be following the concept of the ID. Crozz, which will draw power from a rear motor to generate 201 horses with an optional front motor that will increase the horsepower by 101. The dual-motor option will offer faster acceleration and more power. Regardless of the powertrain, the ID.4 will offer sufficient driving pep. Four-wheel drive models will likely generate 300 horsepower.
The battery pack is powerful enough to power the car on a 310-mile drive in Saint Augustine. This places the car ahead of the competition. The All-Electric Concept focuses on better electric cars. You can charge your car overnight, or you can use a 125kWh charger to take the car from 0 to 80 in 35 minutes.
